In the hills behind Ephesus, 8 km from Selçuk, the village is known for its whitewashed stone houses, steep lanes, churches and fruit wines. The bazaar, breakfast places and wine houses in the centre are all walkable. Early morning or late afternoon, when the crowds thin, is the best time.
