Besides grape wine, Şirince is known for its fruit wines. In the village’s wine houses you can taste and buy wines made from strawberry, blackberry, peach, pomegranate, mulberry and more.
Tasting
Most wine houses let you taste a little before buying. Fruit wines are usually sweet; if you prefer something drier, ask for the grape wines too.
- Read the label for ingredients and the producer.
- Don’t leave bottles in a hot car; wine suffers in the heat.
- The legal age for buying alcohol is 18.
- If you have tasted, don’t drive.
